Daniel Heffron is a Junior Researcher for the North America Programme at CGSRS, where he carries out research on U.S. Foreign Policy. Daniel is a recent postgraduate in Human Rights & Genocide Studies, with experience in research and communications roles for several human rights and environmental organisations, including the Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF), the Budapest Centre for the International Prevention of Genocide and Mass Atrocities, and the Union of Jurists for the Protection of Human Rights (UFTDU).
Daniel holds an M.A. in Human Rights & Genocide Studies from Kingston University in London, and a B.A. in English Literature & Criminology from the University of the West of England (UWE) in Bristol, UK. Daniel's M.A. dissertation focused on the realpolitik implications for the Responsibility to Protect (R2P), making use of case studies in Darfur and Libya.
Daniel is mother-tongue English, and speaks a good level of Italian.
