Prior to joining the Centre for Geopolitics & Security in Realism Studies, Shane Vrabel had worked as a Research Assistant Intern at the Hudson Institute’s Center for Political-Military Analysis. Specializing in East Asian affairs, Mr. Vrabel has performed research on a variety of topics ranging from regional studies, to foreign policy, and defense issues.
Mr. Vrabel also has a strong background in Middle Eastern history and politics (concentrating primarily on the Arab East and issues related to Islamic terrorism). He holds both a M.A. in History with the thesis Preserving Imperial Sovereignty in the Changing Political Order of Prewar Japan as well as a B.A. in History.
