Expert Bio

Gaurab Shumsher Thapa is a Member of Nepal Council of World Affairs. He writes articles related to International Relations in various electronic and print media. He is also a regular opinion writer for Hong Kong based Asia Times. 

Thapa studied Master’s in International Relations and Diplomacy at Tribhuvan University, Nepal. Some of his major areas of interest in International Relations include Geopolitics, Foreign Policy Analysis and Diplomacy. He started his career as an Electronics and Communication Engineer and worked in the telecom industry of Nepal for 13 years before his special interest in International Relations led him to explore this field. 

Besides his native language Nepali, Thapa is fluent in English and Hindi and has got a basic knowledge of Bengali.
