About the Expert

Expert Bio

Irina Ionela Pop holds a PhD in International Relations and European Studies, with the thesis Oil and Geopolitics in Central Asia: Diachronic Analysis of the American and European Positions – Post Cold War Period, as well as a M.A. in Management of International Relations and European Affairs, and a B.A. in European Studies, all of them at ”Babes-Bolyai” University of Cluj-Napoca. Between 2009 and 2018 she was lecturer in two Romanian universities, teaching various International Relations disciplines at B.A. and M.A. level. Currently, she is also working within a multinational corporation.

Irina Ionela Pop had various research stages and traineeships in Belgium, France, Poland and Romania, and contributions in several European Union’s public consultations in the energy field. She is fluent in English and French, with basic knowledge of Spanish, Italian, and Chinese.
