Expert Bio
Dr. Sohail Mahmood is a former lecturer of Political Science, Associate Dean & Head of the Department of International Relations, Preston University, Islamabad. He has published in the fields of international politics, governance and development. Dr. Mahmood specializes in the Politics of South Asia and the Middle East, and global issues. He also currently serves as a member of the International Advisory Board for the Research Institute for European and American Studies (RIEAS). Outside of academia, Dr. Mahmood has consulted for the Governance Division of the World Bank (Islamabad, 2011) and for the United Nations Development Program’s Good Governance Group (Islamabad, 1998-1999).
