HE M Ambassador Balazs Bokor is president of the CGSRS advisory board.

HE M Balazs Bokor began his career at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1981 as Attaché in Aden (Yemen) for a year and as Second Secretary and Consul in Tripoli (Libya) until his new appointment as Senior desk officer for the Department of the Middle East and Africa in 1986. In 1989, he joins the Embassy of Damascus (Syria) as Counsellor and from 1992 to 1995, HE M Balazs Bokor is designated Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Beirut (Lebanon) and Nicosia (Cyprus) before returning to Budapest in 1995 to serve as adviser for the Department of policy planning and then Director General of the Department of the Middle East and Africa. In 2000, he returns to the Middle East as Ambassador in Beirut (Lebanon), Damascus (Syria) and Amman (Jordan).  Before finally serving as Consul General in Los Angeles (United States) in 2007 (until 2012), Balazs Bokor held the Chief of State Protocol position at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Outside his extensive and recognised diplomat career, HE M Balazs Bokor describes himself as a positive man, a supporter of culture.

He is also an accomplished writer who shares, in his many books, his life as a diplomat and dispenses his acumens about Hungary and the Middle East. He also regularly delivers lectures in universities across the world. HE M Balazs Bokor speaks Hungarian, English, Arabic, Russian and French.
